Clear Creek Independent School District

Human Resources: Field Experiences in CCISD

Why CCISD?

The student teachers in CCISD are paired with supportive cooperative teachers who work hard to provide them with a safe and effective learning environment.  Our cooperating teachers are chosen from the best in our district in order to make the learning experience for each student teacher the best it can be.

In addition, CCISD provides profesional development for all novice and pre-service teachers through the Effective Teaching Seminars.  These seminars are conducted on topics that help new teachers perform at their optimum in areas such as classroom management, parent conferencing, community awareness, special education requirements, at risk students, stress management, and lesson planning and design.

Teaching Environments

Since CCISD is the largest high performing school district in Texas, we have the ability to provide a teaching situation geared to fit individual student teacher requests all while following the guidelines and requirements of each university.  We do our best to ensure each placement is made to meet the needs of all involved.  We believe in setting our student teachers up for every success while they are working with our students.

Diversity

Clear Creek ISD is a highly educated and diverse community committed to excellence in education, ensuring all students graduate ready to meet the challenges of an ever-changing world with the desire to be life-long learners.

Our district serves more than 35,500 students and is averaging 1,000 to 1,400 new students each school year. Clear Creek ISD offers an excellent education for all of our students.
