LET’S GET LITERATE is a one-of-a-kind, grand endeavor to promote literacy in CCISD and bring all of our libraries to Exemplary status; a prestigious recognition given by the Texas Education Agency. We are enlisting the help of area businesses, parents, and community groups to help make literacy history in Texas by helping us purchase the necessary books for our libraries, and ultimately promote the joy of reading for all ages. When we reach our $4.5 million goal, CCISD will be the first large school district to receive the Exemplary recognition. Most importantly, we will have closed the literacy gap on all our campuses.
