Understand the Impact of State Testing on Students
Upcoming Forum to be held in the Clear Creek Independent School District
League City, Texas- Parents and community members are invited to attend a forum on high stakes testing in Texas on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Clear Creek Independent School District Education Support Center, 2425 East Main Street, League City. Dr. Laura Mackay, member of Texans Advocating for Meaningful Student Assessment (tamsatx.com) and CCISD parent will provide a presentation on the current STAAR test and the accountability system in Texas. “Most parents are for accountability and making sure our school system stays strong for our children,” said Dr. Mackay. “The current focus on ‘high stakes’ testing by our legislators is not improving our system. Knowledge is power! Learn about the recent STAAR requirements and learn how to advocate for your child.”
