CCISD CONGRATULATES 2013 SO YOU THINK YOU CAN SING CHAMPIONS
League City – On Saturday, January 19, 2013, 22 elementary students, 10 intermediate students and 3 high school students competed in the 2013 So You Think You Can Sing contest. This is the third annual event hosted by the Clear Creek ISD Visual and Performing Arts Department.
The students competed in one of three divisions: elementary, intermediate or high school. Visual and Performing Arts Director, Dean Muths, announced the winners to the delight of the crowd. In the Elementary Division, congratulations go to Bauerschlag Elementary School’s Spencer Plato who sang It’s Oh So Quiet. Lauren McGuire, a Creekside student won the Intermediate School Division with Adele’s Rumor Has It. Morgan Guajardo, a Clear Springs High School student, wowed the crowd with Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You to win the High School Division.
The contest was streamed live on the internet and the winners were chosen by a panel of three judges. So You Think You Can Sing was recorded. Visit USTREAM to watch the performances.
