Special to CCISD!
Clear Creek ISD offers students unmatched opportunities for success. Following is a list of some of the innovative programs we offer.
Full-day Pre-Kindergarten program was launched in 2007 at Clear Lake City Elementary and has since expanded to McWhirter Elementary to help our earliest learners get a jump start on education. Since this program is funded by federal Title I funds, CCISD is guided by certain requirements on student enrollment. For more information contact: Mary Cisneros, Coordinator for Bilingual/ELL, Pre-K at 281-284-2564.
Two Way Immersion (Dual Language) Estrellas Program is an educational model in which both native English speakers and native Spanish speakers receive instruction together in both languages to promote second language aquisition, high academic achievement, and cross cultural understanding for all students. The Estrellas program is based at McWhirter Elementary PDLS.
E4 Academy is just one of the ways CCISD is meeting the needs of our 21st Century students. E4 Academy stands for Educate, Equip, Excel, Electronically and is extremely popular among high school students who want to escalate their learning experience and/or create more opportunities during the school day.
Clear View Education Center has become a home for more than 200 students every year who desire something other than the traditional high school experience. At Clear View, the student to teacher ratio is roughly 12:1, allowing more one on one time.
Clear Horizons Early College High School is where students are earning a high school diploma and an associate’s degree in a matter of four years, all for free! Want to sponsor a student at Clear Horizons Early College High School and groom a future employee? Check out our partnership opportunities.
Smaller Learning Communities provide personalized environment for students where they can develop a sense of responsibility and self-reliance. The program design raises the academic bar and encourages advanced Placement (AP) participation, adds relevancy to curricula, and inspires students to apply and integrate knowledge by completing projects and work experiences. SLCs empower students by maximizing individual strengths, accommodating their personal needs, and preparing them, both academically and socially, for the future. Within each SLC, courses provide students with a comprehensive program for their entire school experience.
