
During the school year the Office of Special Education Services is pleased to offer the following sessions to provide information on a wide variety of topics related to Special Education. Anyone interested is welcome to attend. The following list describes the programs that are offered. Sessions on Special Education provided by CCISD staff/governmental agencies, and/or local specialists for parents of students with disabilities.

Tuesday Informational Meetings
The Office of Special Education provides one hour sessions on specific topics of interest about Special Education and related topics.
Parent Trainings Sessions are presented by the CCISD Autism Team on various Autism topics that provide information to parents, students and teachers.
Special Education Parent Communication Council (SEPCC) The mission of SEPCC is: To educate parents to resources and services available for families with special needs. The main goal is to educate parent representatives in the area of special education so that the SEPCC members can disseminate information to other parents.
Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC)
The mission of SEAC is to communicate and work collaboratively with parents to improve educational outcomes for families and children receiving special education services. SEAC will be comprised of parents of special education students, professionals, community representatives, and the Clear Creek ISD Executive Director of Special Education. Council members will be chosen to allow for representation of a broad spectrum of disabilities and equal representation of the four CCISD feeder patterns in elementary and secondary levels. Nominations will be held annually and Special Education Advisory Council members will be chosen by the Executive Director of Special Education.
Parent Coffee Talk Coffee Talk is an informal venue for parents of students with disabilities to come share experiences, resources, frustrations and the joys of living with a child with special needs.
Sign Language I & II - Classes START Sept. 21st and END Oct. 26th.
- Sign Language I Classes are Mondays at Hall Elementary from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Sign Language II Classes are Mondays at Hall Elementary from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Greater Brazoria Cooperative for the Hearing Impaired provides beginner and advanced classes on American Sign Language. Two six week sessions are provided annually.
Parents, please join us and volunteer for the SEAC, SEPCC, or experience Coffee Talk to help give input to benefit all students with special needs.
