Mission Statement:

The entire staff of Henry Bauerschlag Elementary accepts the responsibility with the support of the parents and the community to provide a program that enables each student to achieve his or her highest potential academically, socially, and physically in order to become responsible and productive citizens.

Vision Statement:

The staff of Henry Bauerschlag Elementary is committed to excellence in education and ensuring all students leave their elementary years with a balanced foundation that prepares them to meet the challenges of their secondary years.

Henry F. Bauerschlag Elementary was opened January 2002, with 360 students, after a 5-month delay due to Tropical Storm Allison. Our school is named for a gentleman who was a teacher, coach, principal, and school board trustee of CCISD. We service Kindergarten through Fifth grade classes. In addition, we also offer variety of programs in an effort to meet the needs of all our students. These programs include a Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities, Social Development, Alternative Academics, Gifted/ Talented, and English as a Second Language. Our students also attend Art, Music, Computer, Library, and Physical Education classes. We have an Alpha (Gifted/Talented) teacher, ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher and an educational specialist. We also have other special education teachers for speech and resource. We have a full time nurse, counselor, diagnostician, assistant principal and principal.
