Gifted and Talented Program
The Gifted and Talented Program of CCISD is now accepting written referrals for students in grades K-12 for the 2009-2010 school year.
Referrals may come from teachers, students, administrators, counselors or parents/guardians.
It must be submitted in writing to the GT campus specialist, or the GT Program Office.
The criteria for selection includes cognitive skill tests, professional recommendations, classroom performance and portfolio samples.
The deadline for students in grades 1-12 is Oct. 1, 2009.
The deadline for kindergarten referrals is Dec. 1, 2009.
(Kindergarten students are screened for possible testing throughout the school year.)
A child will not be tested more than twice in K-5 and twice in 6-12.
