Parenting with Kids in Mind
The mission of P.H. Greene Creative Arts Elementary School, in partnership with the family and community, is to ensure that each student develops understanding, skill, and sensitivities that make it possible to participate successfully in a multi-cultural society. We strive to develop in each student the capacity to think critically and reason intelligently through a curriculum that is immersed in the fine arts and addresses individual learning styles.
P.H. Greene Creative Arts Elementary School provides students with successful opportunities in the creative arts and an infusion of those arts within the academic curriculum. Through their success in the arts, students are motivated to excel in their learning. The arts are exciting and challenge students to think creatively, independently and imaginatively.
By studying the arts, students develop the ability to analyze, compose, judge critically, and improve a work. Important thinking skills are developed as a student creates a play, analyzes an artwork, and writes a musical score. Our curriculum follows the general curriculum guidelines provided by the state and Clear Creek ISD.
Because we use a hands-on approach to learning, technology use is easily incorporated into the curriculum. Students use the computer to reinforce skills, write and edit, solve problems, and draw. Greene is very fortunate to have a drama teacher. The students learn self-confidence, public speaking, persuasive speaking, character development, prop and set design, and the development of a theatrical production.
Our children are the true heart of our building. At P.H. Greene Creative Arts Elementary School, we are constantly striving to provide the best education for our students.
