Message from the Principal
The first months of school have been filled to the brim! We have all worked diligently to provide successful educational experiences for the children at Greene. Teachers have taken to heart the Clear Creek ISD logo of Educate, Equip, and Excel. Every child at Greene Elementary counts! Every child matters! Every child’s education will prepare him or her for the present as well as for the future!
As we think about the next 100+ days, we know our work is far from over. We have many opportunities as well as challenges before us and we are excited about the work we have to do to help ensure success for all of our students. As the great educator, John Dewey, said, “School is not just preparation for life. It IS life”. With this thought in mind, reading with your child is one of the best ways to help your child become a successful reader. Challenge your child to read as many different genres as possible. Genres include: fairy tales, folktales, mystery, non-fiction, realistic fiction, short stories, science fiction, poetry, myths and legends, historical fiction, fantasy, and biography/autobiography.
Thank you for the continued support of Greene Elementary! Have a wonderful fall.
Go Greene!

Message from the Assistant Principal
To the Families of Greene Elementary,
Hello, Greene’s students and parents! I am excited to be Greene’s assistant principal. I look forward to Greene and Clear Creek ISD becoming my second home in education. I believe students are the foundation to the future, and that society is evolving every second. Schools foster learning and education to attain skills for future aspirations and challenges. At Greene, I hope to enhance this belief through communication, providing building blocks for all, and collaboration with the school community. We will rise to the many challenges and work with each other to meet them.
I also wanted to share some things about me. I come from Pearland ISD where I have had many opportunities to work with students from every background. I grew up in Galveston, TX and lived there all my life that is until I made a journey to Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX. After graduating, I moved closer to home and started teaching. Over the years, I have continued to grow and look for challenges in education.
To A Successful Year,
Michael Rivera
