The mission of
Wedgewood Elementary
is to provide a safe and supportive environment that will maximize
opportunities for academic, social, and emotional growth so that all
individuals can reach their full potential and become productive
citizens.
Wedgewood Elementary opened in 1993. Our school was designed for 900
students. The building was designed in a shape of a star by PBK
Architects. The building’s design won a national award for school
design excellence. Grades 1-5 are on the three points of the star, with
the teaching theater, library and computer labs at the intersecting of
those three points. The cafeteria, gymnasium and early childhood wing
comprise the last two points of the star. The site is wooded in the
front and boasts a one-mile running track under trees. Our Timberwolf Café is a very unique place that allows the students and their families a relaxing place to eat lunch and visit.
We are a community of life-long learners who: achieve academic
excellence, maintain a healthy lifestyle, appreciate the arts, love
learning, value and respect ourselves and others, enjoy life and
laughter, experience success and fulfill our dreams.
