The mission of Whitcomb Elementary is to develop responsible citizens in a positive learning environment; to enable all students to achieve their highest potential, supported by teachers, parents and the community; and to prepare our students to live in a global society.

Whitcomb Elementary opened in 1968 and was named in honor of G.H. Whitcomb. Mr. Whitcomb was instrumental in the consolidation of Clear Creek Schools and the foundation of Clear Creek ISD. Mr. Whitcomb was keenly interested in education and was devoted to the educational achievement of children. He served on the Board of Webster School for many years and as President of the Consolidated District.
