Curriculum and Instruction: Visual and Performing Arts Program

Clear Creek ISD’s Fine Arts programs enhance the educational experience of our students by empowering them to
use their minds more creatively, inspiring students to become life-long participants and supporters of the arts, so that through the uniqueness of the arts they will discover the uniqueness in themselves.
Our students compete successfully at the local, state and national level. Our performing groups are invited to perform on an annual basis at conferences throughout the country and they have a reputation as being one of the strongest performance programs in the nation. Artwork produced by our students has been exhibited in the State Capitol, local museums and at exhibits throughout the United States.
Clear Creek ISD offers both visual and performing arts opportunities for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
At the elementary level, every K-5 student takes both an art class and a music class, meeting approximately once a week in each course. There are 17, 212 elementary students in CCISD served by 53 elementary fine arts teachers.
At the intermediate level (grades 6-8) students can choose from Theatre Arts, Orchestra, Band, Choir and Art. At the high school level (grades 9-12) students choose from Theatre Arts, Art, Band, Choir, Orchestra and Dance. CCISD offers over 60 different high school fine arts courses to our students in the areas mentioned above.
