Longhorn Project

The Center for Agriculture, Science, and Engineering (CASE) – Longhorn Project, began in 1996 as a joint educational effort between the NASA Johnson Space Center and Clear Creek ISD.

NASA Johnson Space Center initiated this agreement that allows Clear Creek ISD students to raise and breed longhorn cattle on a 60-acre tract of land located at Johnson Space Center.

Longhorn/CASE Project Partners

The program includes more than Texas Longhorn cattle – and has several educational partners. Partners Include: Clear Creek ISD, NASA Johnson Space Center, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and the Texas Longhorn Breeders Association of America (TLBAA).
