Clear Lake High School debate coach Martha Anne Pierson has earned a second diamond degree of membership from the National Forensic League (NFL). To receive this honor, Pierson attained a total of 3,649 points, representing coaching success over several years. Under the direction of their coach, Lake Debate teams earned more than 36,000 points.

League City – Clear Creek ISD is holding informational meetings for parents interested in enrolling their Kindergartner in the District’s Two-Way Immersion program. This outstanding Spanish immersion program is at McWhirter Professional Development Laboratory School and is being offered for students entering Kindergarten in Fall 2010.

League City – Students across the Clear Creek Independent School District (CCISD) are raising money for Haiti relief efforts. They are collecting, cash, checks and change in a variety of ways ranging from a one mile walk at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium to a shoe drive at an elementary campus.

The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees has approved attendance boundaries for the new Clear Falls High School and Bayside Intermediate as well as new boundaries to balance the population at the District’s existing four comprehensive high schools. The Board also approved an implementation timeline for when these boundaries will go into effect.

League City, Texas- The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees will consider the 2010-2011 school boundary recommendations during the January 25, 2010 general board meeting at 7 p.m. The School Boundary Advisory Committee, which is comprised of 27 members representing all areas of the district, has proposed boundaries for the new Clear Falls High School and Bayside Intermediate at the Education Village as well as boundaries to relieve overcrowding at Clear Brook and Clear Springs high schools. The Texas ACT Council recognized Clear Brook, Clear Creek and Clear Lake High Schools for increasing the number of students taking the ACT Assessment over the past five years and for significantly increasing their level of achievement and college readiness.
