CLEAR CREEK ISD PARTNERS WITH COLLEGE OF THE MAINLAND
Collegiate High School Seeking Students

League City, TX -- The Clear Creek Independent School District is proud to announce a new partnership with The College of The Mainland. Collegiate High School (CHS) gives students the chance to customize their college experience while still in high school.

Through this unique relationship, any student in Clear Creek ISD may take college level courses at College of the Mainland. They may choose to take one class or every class at the college and then return to their home high school campus to participate in extracurricular activities such as athletics, band or dance.

According to CCISD’s Director of Student Services Suzanne Thomas, “The Collegiate High School program is designed for mature high school students who are ready for the academic challenge of being a full time college student.” Many CHS students graduate from College of the Mainland with an associate degree.

New students will be accepted into the program in January. The deadline to apply is December 4, 2009. The spring semester begins January 18, 2010. The application process for students interested in applying for the 2010-2011 school year will begin on February 22, 2010. For more information go to www.com.edu/chs .
