CLEAR CREEK ISD COMMITTEES NEED VOLUNTEERS
Seeking Parents & Community Members

League City, TX -- The Clear Creek Independent School District is seeking community and business members to serve on the District Education Improvement Committee (DEIC) and the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) for the 2012-2013 school year.

The DEIC Committee is involved in establishing and reviewing the District's educational goals, objectives, and major district classroom instructional programs. This includes planning, preparing and reviewing the District Improvement Plan. The Committee meets six times per year after school, with the first meeting scheduled for September 11, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the Education Support Center.

The DEIC Committee serves exclusively in an advisory role. Both community and business representatives are needed. Community member representatives must reside in the district. Business member representatives need not reside in the district, but must own or operate a business in the district. The Clear Creek Independent School District is also seeking parents and community partners to serve on the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) for the 2012-2013 school year. The SHAC is an efficient, effective structure for creating and implementing age-appropriate, sequential health education programs, as well as early intervention and prevention strategies. This includes recommending indicators for evaluating effectiveness of Coordinated School Health Programs to the CCISD Board of Trustees. The Committee meets four times per year at Clear View Education Center from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm:

  • October 3, 2012
  • December 12, 2012
  • February 13, 2013
  • April 17, 2013
