McWhirter Elementary School Leadership Group Meets With Superintendent
Recently, the McWhirter Elementary School Leadership Group met with Dr. Sandra Mossman, Clear Creek ISD superintendent of schools, to inform her about the group and the contributions they make to a positive school environment.
The Leadership Group is a combination of identified gifted student leaders as well as selected students from fourth grade classrooms. The children organize and complete community service projects such as distributing flowers at a nursing home and chatting with the residents, organizing a school banner for the senior citizens, and coordinating a recycling project for the school and local community.
“These students want to make a difference in their school and community. They are learning skills that will benefit them for their entire life. This program is an outstanding example of excellence in education,” said Dr. Mossman.
