CCISD budget earns award
League City, TEXAS—The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded Clear Creek ISD the Association’s Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the school district’s 2005 budget. Clear Creek ISD is one of only 14 school districts in the state to receive the award.
The award represents a significant achievement for CCISD. It reflects the commitment of the Board of Trustees and staff to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. In order to receive the budget award, the district had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines assess how well the budget serves as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and a communication device.
