CLEAR CREEK ISD WINS BUDGET AWARD
League City – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) has awarded the Meritorious Budget Award for excellence to the Clear Creek Independent School District. CCISD was selected for this honor as recognition of a job well done in the preparation and issuance of the 2008 – 2009 district budget.
The Meritorious Budget Awards program helps school systems build a solid foundation in the skills of developing, analyzing, and presenting a budget. Only school districts that have met or exceeded the Meritorious Budget Award Program Criteria are eligible for the award.
This is the second prestigious award for CCISD Chief Financial Officer Paul McLarty and his staff in recent months. In May, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented the prestigious Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to Clear Creek ISD. A Certificate of Recognition for Budget Presentation was also presented to Chief Financial Officer Paul McLarty for his work overseeing the CCISD budget. “The District is so fortunate to have a CFO who is recognized for his pioneering efforts to improve the quality of budgeting and serves as an excellent transparent example for other school districts across the country,” said Superintendent Greg Smith.
